PR(08)30: The EFTA Surveillance Authority authorises an alteration to the Norwegian tax refund scheme for seafarers aboard vessels in the Norwegian Ordinary Shipping Register (NOR) to cover the so-called Hurtigruten ships
The EFTA Surveillance Authority has authorised today an alteration to the Norwegian tax refund scheme for seafarers aboard vessels registered in the Norwegian Ordinary Shipping Register (NOR).
The existing tax refund scheme will be amended by extending the reimbursement of seafarers' income tax and social security contributions paid by the employer to include safety crew on board passenger ships covering the distance Bergen-Kirkenes exposed to competition and registered in the Norwegian Ordinary Shipping Register.
