The Authority launches Public Document Database

Today, the EFTA Surveillance Authority launched its Public Document Database. It is now possible for anyone to quickly and easily find documents which have been made public by the Authority.

The launching of the database is a measure to enhance the Authority's accessibility and transparency. From this database, anyone may download documents to which the Authority grants access under its Rules on public access to documents. The Public Document Database is searchable online. It is available on the Authority's website free of charge, and open to everyone, at this address:

When an application for public access to a document is granted, the document will now be uploaded to the database, and the applicant notified. Once uploaded, the documents are accessible to the applicant and to the public in general.

To further enhance accessibility and transparency, many documents to which public access has already been granted in previous years are also available in the database.
