PR(02)24: The EFTA Surveillance Authority launches new website
As from today, the EFTA Surveillance Authority’s new website is accessible on www.eftasurv.int. The new website represents a considerable improvement over the existing one, and will play an important role in the Authority’s efforts to inform the public about its functions and activities and about the rights of economic operators and individual persons under the EEA Agreement.
Some key features of the new website are:
- Under the heading Fields of work, the Authority website features comprehensive information on the areas covered by the EEA Agreement. This new section should be a primary source of information for anyone who wishes to learn about the Agreement and how it functions in practice.
- With the new website comes an improved search function. Under subscriptions, users may subscribe to news alerts by e-mail to stay informed about the Authority’s activities.
- The Authority’s Press releases, Annual Reports and Single Market Scoreboards are available online in the Information and Publications section.
- It is possible to search the Acquis Implementation Database (AIDA) for the status of implementation of EEA Acts in the EFTA States.
- Information on the Authority’s procedures for infringement proceedings and complaints is available. The Competition and State aid sections also contain information about complaints and notifications specific to these fields.
- About the EFTA Surveillance Authority provides information about the Authority’s organisation, including information about the College and staff. All vacancies with the Authority will be published here.
The present website www.efta.int has been redesigned and will remain the common entry page for the three EFTA organisations.
Together with the launch of its website, the Authority has adopted a new visual profile. The new logo will be used on all written material from the Authority, and will thus help the Authority become more visible.
