PR(08)19: Per Andreas Bjørgan new director in Competition and State aid Directorate
The Authority has appointed Per Andreas Bjørgan as the new Director in the Competition and State Aid Directorate. Bjørgan will succeed the current Director, Amund Utne. It will later be decided when the succession will take place.
Per Andreas Bjørgan is a law graduate from Norway and is Master of Law, with an LL.M from the USA and a MA in EC Competition Law from King’s College in London. Previously a lawyer practising in Norway, Bjørgan started his career in the Authority as Legal Officer in 2001, and is currently Deputy Director in the Legal Department. He has gained extensive experience in the fields of Competition, State aid and EEA law in general.
