General Block Exemption Regulation (GBER)

Using the GBER the EFTA States can implement aid measures without having to go through the notification process. Instead, the EFTA States can merely submit information to the Authority using the GBER information sheet template.

The European Commission amended the GBER on 14 June 2017. It was incorporated into Annex XV of the EEA Agreement on 22 September 2017 and entered into force the day after, on 23 September 2017.

The Authority has issued a GBER Questions & Answers. This complements the Commission's GBER Frequently asked questions
